Nou segell personalitzat: Estanislau Vallverdú

Estanislau Vallverdú Villalonga va nàixer el 1904 i malauradament va morir molt jove, el 1939, víctima de la Guerra Civil. Des de molt jove mostrà una gran aptitud artística i exercí de dibuixant. Signava els seus dibuixos amb les lletres “LAU” i entre els més coneguts figura el de la parella de comparsers que va servir d’il·lustració per la portada dels programes de Carnaval. Amb aquest mateix dibuix es va editar una vinyeta promocional i també el mata-segells especial de la exposició filatèlica del Carnaval de 1984 organitzada per la Penya Filatèlica.
Recentment s’han trobat diversos dibuixos inèdits d’en LAU i la seva figura s’ha posat d’actualitat. A iniciativa de la directora de l’Arxiu Comarcal del Garraf, que està treballant actualment en un merescut reconeixement, hem demanat a Correus un segell personalitzat il·lustrat amb una auto caricatura de l’artista. El segell ja està disponible per tots els interessats.

Firmaba sus dibujos con las letras “LAU” y entre los más conocidos figura el de la pareja de comparseros que sirvió de ilustración por la portada de los programas de Carnaval. Con este mismo dibujo se editó una viñeta promocional y también el matasellos especial de la exposición filatélica del Carnaval de 1984 organizada por la Peña Filatélica. Recientemente se han encontrado varios dibujos inéditos de LAU y su figura se ha puesto de actualidad. A iniciativa de la directora del Archivo Comarcal del Garraf, que está trabajando actualmente en un merecido reconocimiento, hemos pedido a Correos un sello personalizado ilustrado con una auto caricatura del artista. El sello ya está disponible para todos los interesados.
